A Better Refund™ allows merchants to mitigate, manage and monetize fraud. There are many examples of return fraud that merchants deal with resulting in $22.8 billion of losses; 10.7% of all returns are considered fraudulent and merchants are left alone to eat the cost. By introducing a third party (TodayPay) to a two party transaction (Merchant + Custer), merchants are able to rely on TodayPay to prevent abusive customers from obtaining a refund. As we continue to build our merchant network, the underlying data that feeds our decisioning processes only gets stronger. If a merchant experiences a ‘returnless refund’, we have built in features that allow merchants to recover at least 20% of the refunded amount.
